Thank you to the incredible team at the Lake Street Lift Program for your generous support and belief in this project. This opportunity gave me space to explore new ways of showcasing my work well beyond painting, into the realm of storytelling through film, expanding beyond my usual practice of canvas & oil paint

 

It pushed me out of my comfort zone and into new creative heights.

The process was not without challenges. Working on a sensitive, identity-centered documentary taught me just how important it is to build real, trusting relationships especially when sharing someone's life story.

 

Every moment taught me something, and each obstacle made the final outcome more meaningful.

This project helped me grow artistically & personally, I’m truly grateful for the chance to create something that honors the lives of the people on lake street.
